The three-day meet will discuss corporate social responsibility for first time.

Institute of Directors (IOD) is organizing 14th World Congress on Total Quality (WCTQ) in Bangalore from Jan 23 to 25 this is first time this international event is being held in Bangalore.

The theme is "Triple bottom line approaches for building corporations that last" An international exhibition - Qualex 2004 - will also be held, which will showcase quality and excellence. The congress will be preceded by leading edge workshops on corporate social responsibility and Six Sigma and CRM.

Briefing reporters - IOD Founder and brain behind World Congress on Total Quality Dr Madhav Mehra said WCTQ will be biggest assemblage of quality thinkers in this part of world and offers an unrivalled networking opportunity for business leaders policy makes and quality professionals.

The main objective is to understand importance of people plant and profits in equal measure for building companies that last and to integrate themes of quality environment and governance in order to maximize value for the customer shareholder and society at large he said.
